Standing Up

My amazing girlfriend shared the image below with me today:

Especially over the past year, I have had so many people quietly tell me that what I say/do is right and they are simply scared to say or do it themselves. They don’t want to be challenged, or they may suffer a consequence, or they simply just want to do their own thing. They tell me thank you for sharing my beliefs because they can’t or won’t. They want to push back on the folks who make ignorant, racist, sexist, homophobic or other comments but they believe it won’t do any good. When I share my beliefs it isn’t because I think it will change anyone’s mind, it is because I have to be true to myself and let others know they are not the only ones thinking something. It makes it real for them that someone else says it.

My only request for anyone is call out evil, share your thoughts politely, because someone is listening and it will resonate with them and give them the knowledge that they are not alone and that they to can share.
